Hidden in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, on the remote island of Lanai, sits a relaxing 3.5-acre retreat. Surrounded by green hills and blessed with scenic views of the coastline, this country estate is now offering charming bungalows for rent at an unheard-of price. Each dwelling has been expertly re-furr-bished and measures a cozy 2 feet by 2 feet, the perfect size for cuddling up with a friend or two.
Wooden floors give each bungalow a homey feel, while the large open-air entryway allows quick access for frolicking in the nearby grass or frisking up a tree. Community amenities include a Catfurteria with complimentary dining, a Kittengarten for little ones, and a Senior area for kupuna (elders).
This is a unique opportunity to rent a bungalow in a safe, loving community created for purr-fect island living…if you’re a cat.
Your rent (donation) of $495 will pay for a custom nameplate on your bungalow and support the care of our 850 formerly homeless and abandoned cats for 12 months. Together, we can ensure that our cats live long, happy lives.

Volunteer with Lanai Cat Sanctuary
We work from sunrise to sundown, seven days a week to keep up with the needs of more than 600 cats. With a tiny residential population on Lanai, there are no regular volunteers to help. The needs are constant to run a high-quality sanctuary. Contact us to help.
Internships
Oahu university students can get hands-on experience in nonprofit management by providing support services in social media, website development, fundraising, communications, operations and more.
Volunteer Vacations
Visitors can help for a few hours or full days with a customized experience. Here’s more information about where to stay and how to get here. We do not subsidize or provide accommodations.
Animal Care
Feed, clean and care for more than 600 cats in residence. Includes cleaning housing.
Foster Care
Lanai residents can open their home temporarily to a kitten or cat in need. All supplies are provided, you just provide the TLC.
The Whole Kitten Kaboodle
Perhaps you own a print shop, video service, T-shirt company or other cool business. There’s always a project to partner on with your expertise.
